FARM at The Carneros Inn {Fancy Brunch}

FARM at The Carneros Inn {Fancy Brunch}

I just had to snap a pic of my dear friend Marci's LV....so pretty! Giving me serious purse ENVY and major #GOALS!

Last week a couple of friends from Georgia happen to be in town for a wedding, giving us all the perfect excuse to try out the rumored BRUNCH that FARM at The Carneros Inn is now offering on Sundays ONLY! Four courses shared among friends or just you and your sweetie, only $45 per person and some of the best hospitality and service the valley has to offer, thanks to the men leading the show, Executive Chef Aaron Meneghelli and General Manager Zion Curiel...GREAT job guys!

The great thing about Brunch is the variety of dishes offered, it isn't just breakfast items, but the perfect combination of lunch, breakfast and for us Gluten Free options galore! Our good friends are GF and with the options from FARM, we had no problem choosing four incredible dishes that didn't leave us missing anything gluten related!

Our first dish, the "Garden Tomato Tart," was a great start to our brunch, fresh heirloom tomatoes, nectarines, burrata, mustard seed vinaigrette and almond crumble (we got ours on a the side and honestly forgot about it....but the last bites I had I sprinkled with it and YUM!)...just as pretty as it tasted too!

Our second course (my husbands favorite) was the classic "Bacon and Egg's," a simple dish of truffled soft scrambled eggs, a prosciutto chip and shaved truffle on top....anyone with an affinity for soft scrambled eggs, this is your JAM!

Third and most interesting course of our Brunch at FARM....."Shrimp & Grits," a large prawn cooked perfectly, sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, chives to garnish and all layered over the top of the most amazing broth and creamy grits....not something I would normally order for brunch, but such a perfect compliment to the rest of the brunch items...make sure to order the shrimp & grits, you will not be disapointed!!!

The last course and probably my personal favorite, "Crispy Duck Confit Hash," an amazing finish to our brunch experience. Chef created a base of duck confit and potato lightly fried to perfection and topped with frisee, a runny poached egg and marinated ramps from their garden....OMG.....the Boonfly's benedict is getting a serious run for it's money with this dish!! I mean I love the Boonfly, it's a Napa Valley staple, but their sister restaurant on property is sure to see a jump in brunch visitors ...hey maybe now it will even the playing field and we will actually be able to get a seat at the Boonfly for once on a Sunday... Either way...at $45 per person for the last four courses I have detailed and all while sipping on champagne and hanging with the best of friends...a perfect sunday! Well done FARM!!
