Living in Napa I am constantly juggling different climates and terrain. My husband works almost 45 minutes away in Calistoga, where the temps easily surpass those of the neighboring towns: St. Helena,  Rutherford, Oakville, Yountville and of course, Napa! The reason why Napa is such a popular grape growing region is because of the mediterranean climate, warm days and cool nights give the fruit time to rest and enough sun to ripen by Harvest (typically September/October)...that is the really simplified version at least! HA. When it comes to fashion you definitely want to layer and wear appropriate shoes! Flats or slides for daytime and depending on your dinner plans, wedges are always good, but you can get away with a stiletto here or there!

This past weekend I was treated to an extraordinary experience by The Wydown Hotel and Luxury Electric Wine Tours (@napavalleytesla) and dressed to perfection by Sister's Boutique (Yountville, CA). It's not too often I get to actually play tourist, waking up in a bed I don't have to make and being driven around to some gorgeous vineyards to taste wine, without having to go back to work afterwards! No I am not complaining about getting to occasionally wine taste during work hours and it not be deemed inappropriate! We all have different perks of the job, mine just happened to surround wine!

Whenever I have a trip or in this case, a staycation planned, I love to get a few new things I can wear to make me feel special. I know I am not the only person who wishes they lived in a clothing store. In this case I wish I owned the majority of Sister's Boutique in Yountville. It never fails that I find something unique and on trend. It really helps that their sales team in chock full of stylish, gorgeous people who make me feel like I could wear anything in the store and look amazing! Thank you TEAM Sisters for always being my favorite shopping advisors!

This particular dress looks a little "fancy" for a day time look, but when you put it on and throw on your favorite slip ons, a jean jacket and shades...all those previous thoughts go right out the window! The accordion style, midi length and tassel waist cinching belt, make this a comfortable yet structured piece, that doesn't lose shape or wrinkle easily. Which if your going to be wearing it the entire day, those are all very important things!!

I styled my day look with my favorite jean jacket (WAY too hot this particular day to actually wear the thing, but you get the idea!), Mara and Mine Jem Skull Slides, rose gold Quay sunnies and gorgeous druzy leather wrap bracelet HERE all from Sister's Boutique in Yountville (or click the link and shop their online store)...

For my nighttime look I had to go simple because I was riding around tasting all day and didn't have time to go change before dinner at PRESS in St. Helena. I packed these gorgeous classic black stilettos with the softest ankle lace up details, a dusty pink pashmina with tassels and my best accessory - my adorable hubby ;)

If you are questioning what to wear when you visit Napa, always remember, it's whatever you feel comfortable roaming around drinking wine in! This dress served me well and I cannot wait to take it on the road with me to NOLA for my friends wedding, it's the perfect dress, heck since its NOLA and it's a little creepy there I might as well wear my skull slides? HAH

I had the best weekend, and I cannot wait to bring your more details with my full blog post featuring The Wydown Hotel and Luxury Electric Wine Tours...make sure to follow along and see which wineries we visited!
