{Mother's Day Napa Casual Style: Sister's Boutique}

I am not a mom yet, but definitely hope to have children one day. So my experience with dressing for Mother's day is really all about what to wear to take my mom out for lunch or brunch! Napa is a casual town, even though we do have fancier spots you can visit while your here (Auberge Du Soleil, FARM at Carneros Resort, Sol Bar at Solage, Silverado Country ClubThe French Laundry, Meadowood) that feel necessary to wear a dress/heel combo to and your man to wear a suite jacket, that just wasn't how I was raised, nor is it how my mother would prefer to spend her Mother's Day!

I had a couple days last week where I felt like my closet was basically empty and I was better off throwing all my clothes into a big pile and burning them! Ever have those days? If you don't, I envy you! Lucky for me I can run over to Sister's Boutique in Yountville (on my lunch break) and find a brand new outfit, without fail! On this particular occasion I had my Mother's Day event in mind, lunch at Rutherford Grill with my mom and rest of the fam! I could basically wear anything, but I wanted to dress it up a bit, but also go casual because if you have ever been to RG you need something that's not only cute, but comfortable - the food is too good not to indulge and that means loser fabrics and shapes that flatter without constricting!

I found the cutest BB Dakota white lace romper, complete with an option for an off the shoulder look and the material has the perfect amount of stretch! I also fell in love with this navy blue swing dress from LA Made Clothing (similar dress HERE), local brand from Southern California - you can still score this dress at Sister's, only a couple sizes left so get it soon! I love to support local shops supporting local brands, so it was a win win for me! Speaking of local shops, the Ciao Bella hat I am wearing below is from local shop Wunder Boutique and Salon - it's Michael Stars, one of my favorite brands!

More Outfit Details: Straw Tote/Gap - only $27! Sandals/Gap - only $27! Booties/Franco Sarto - similar HERE! Ala Pilar Leather and Tassel Tote - Similar HERE!

The dress and romper are both perfect for a day out wine tasting, wear them to BottleRock, work and or just having a casual Mother's Day lunch at RG or your backyard BBQ! I scored an adorable black felt C&C hat - similar HERE (I have gotten so many compliments on it, probably because I have worn it 4 days in a row? maybe?) haha - also some gorgeous jewelry from designer Sherry Flammer, she makes the best stuff. I have sported her leather/druzy bracelets before and this time decided to go with the other option of wearing it as a choker - looked amazing! Highly suggest adding one of these versatile pieces to your jewelry collection!

If you're in Napa for the holiday weekend and want to treat your mom, Sister's also offers some epic beauty services: Brows, Facials, Hair and Bridal Services too! Treat yourself or your mom, local ladies let them know VINELIVING sent you!
